Fraga's Cafe, Marysville by Bureaucrat

The Lawyer and I first visited Marysville several years before the terrible bushfires that happened in 2009.  At the time, we arrived late in the afternoon and didn't have much left to check out the local area, as it was getting dark quite quickly.

Ever since the bushfires, I've been wanting to revisit Marysville and the surrounding areas. I wanted to see how the community was doing and also wanted to help out the local economy by having lunch there and buying a trinket or two.

This time, we arrived around lunchtime.  It was a beautiful day - clear skies, little wind, and very crisp air.... gorgeous!

There's a few cafes and bakeries in Marysville.  We opted for Fraga's Cafe - a warm, homely cafe with a slight hippy (as opposed to hipster) vibe that is located on the main strip.

I liked the bright green colour of the walls and the sunlight that streamed through the windows.

Inside, it's got quite a few local artwork on display, which were also on sale too.

We got a latte and cappucino.  The coffee came in these cute, colourful cups.

For food, the Lawyer got the minute steak sanger w fries and salad.  The Lawyer liked the steak. Although, I thought the steak was a tad chewy and the bread rool was a tad plain (there wasn't any butter, sauce, chutney or mayo inside).

As I wasn't as hungry, I got a bowl of fried w homemade aioli.  The aioli was nicely garlicky.

Verdict
Food - 7
Ambience - 7.5
Service - 7
Price - 7

Overall
A cute cafe with a very warm and friendly vibe. It's a favourite with the locals, given there were quite a few people coming in to get their caffeine fix and the staff knew them all by name.
