For entree we ordered the fried calamari and grilled octopus. Both were divine. If only the serves were not so mingy.
The extra virgin olive oil on the grilled octopus was lovely and green tasting which paired well with the smoky chargrilled flavours. Can't fault any fried calamari.
For mains, the three of us shared a mixed grilled platter which was suppose to feed two. But it was so generous in size, we ended up taking the left overs home. The generous platter came with: lamb and chicken gyros; chicken, lamb and pork skewers; beef patties; pork sausages; tomato salad, pita bread, tzatziki and chips. All the meats were beautifully marinaded. The pita was freshly toasted and the tzatziki had lovely bits of dill and cucumber throughout.
The chips that came with the platter.
Verdict - we loved it.
Overall
All in all, a great Sunday lunch experience. Great atmosphere, generous mains, yummy food. The only negative was that the entree sizes were rather small for the price ($17) each. The mix grilled platter was value for money at $45.
I will definitely go again. I would imagine the place would be lovely on a balmy summer's night for dinner and drinks.
