Oh-my-god!
So when Melbourne Central invited the Eat and Be Merry Crew to its ultimate Melbourne winter's night out, I was there with bells on!
First up on the itinerary was a sugar and gluten-high rush at the Flour Market's "Afternoon Delight".
Every Thursday this month, the Flour Market is open from 3pm to 7pm on the level 2 link bridge (the bit where Melbourne Central links across to the Emporium).
With a rotation of artisanal bakers and pastiserries, it's impossible not to get tempted at the Flour Market. Think gorgeous cakes, pastries, biscuits, ice cream, doughnuts, cronuts, raw slices and all things delicious.
While it's mostly sweet delicacies are on offer, there were some savoury treats available too. On the day I went, there were Chez Dre, Citizen Cacao, Shortstop, Butter Mafia and Eat A Scroll, to name but a few of the awesome bakers there.
I picked out a tray of delicious goodies, which I ever-so-carefully took home to enjoy with my family.

The ultimate winter's night out continued with a movie at Hoyts Lux on level 4 of Melbourne Central. Feeling ever so spoilt in the comfy reclining seats and complementary popcorn, the Lawyer and I kicked up our heels and channeled our sci-fi geekiness and watched humans and orcs go at each other in Warcraft.

The ultimate Melbourne winter's night was capped off with dinner at TGI Friday's, on level 3 of Melbourne Central (see the next post for the review).
