The burgers are impressively big. I couldn't pass on the Southern Cali burger - a hefty bundle of double fried chicken, double cheese, Bourbon bacon jam and chipotle mayo.
The two fillets of chicken were very nice - crispy crunchy fried goodness and yet a very tender and juicy meatiness. I couldn't quite taste the bacon in the bacon jam. The salad ingredients were fresh and the bun was soft as a cloud. A very nice burger, albeit a bit sweet. The chips were also very nice - chunky steakhouse style chips and very moreish.
The Lawyer got the MJ burger - a Wagyu patty with cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, bacon and MJ's sauce. He equally enjoyed his burger and also felt it was a tad sweet.
On another hot summer's day, we availed ourselves to the Burger Bar for a quick and easy dinner. This time, I got the grilled chicken supreme. While I liked the Southern Cali burger, I much preferred the grilled burger. It was much lighter and less sweet, although there was a bit too much savoury sauce for my liking - but I'm nit picking here. I also liked the salad ingredients were particularly (naturally) sweet and crisp.
The Lawyer had the Cheeseburger, which he enjoyed too. Very big in size and filling and fresh. He said he'd definitely order it again.
Verdict
Overall
These are pretty good burgers. Great value for the size and fresh ingredients. If you don't mind a slightly sweet burger, this is the place for it. I have to say, I wouldn't mind going back to try some of the other menu items, including the doughnuts, waffles loaded chips and shakes. With the Entertainment Book dining offer, we got a buy one get one free deal with the burgers (click on these links to find out how we're raising money for FareShare by asking our Aussie readers to buy a copy of the 2016-17 Entertainment Book).

Those burgers look great- especially the buns! I used to go to Mocha Jo's all the time about 10 years ago before anything better came along.
Worth going back there for the burgers, Laura :)
And I know what you mean... I still think the Kingsway area has yet to reach its full potential when it comes to the cafes on offer.
