There's quite list of flavours to choose from, including the Ancient Grains, Fresh Fruit and organic Botanicals range.
Impressively, the yoghurt is a very smooth-textured one. It is quite silky to drink. Think of Mumuyo as a really smooth smoothie.
It doesn't have that sour tang that yoghurt usually has. And I don't know if it is the probiotics in the yoghurt but the Lawyer slurped down a whole serve and didn't end up feeling totally icky at all (he is a bit lactose intolerant). While I'm not lactose intolerant, I was quite impressed that I didn't feel bloated afterwards.
We chose the Strawberry & Blueberry, Organic Rose & Lychee, and Organic Hibiscus & Strawberry. We also liked how we could customise the sugar levels in each. For the two strawberry yoghurt drinks, we went for low sugar; and we went for no sugar for the rose & lycee.
Despite have less or no sugar, all of the yoghurt drinks tasted really nice. I was very happy with the low sugar (especially when Boy Chick was having some too). And even the no-sugar rose & lychee tasted really nice - in fact, it was our favourite of the three. There's enough natural sugars to give the yoghurts a good flavour. I'd be quite happy to stick with the low/no-sugar options for next time.
Verdict
Overall
Mumuyo's yoghurt drinks are definitely a healthier alternative to the many bubble tea offerings.Mumuyo is born and bred in Melbourne and their yoghurt is made in Gippsland. These days, especially in the post-COVID world, I'm really big on supporting local businesses, especially those that use local suppliers themselves. So definitely give Mumuyo try when you're next in the city.
