He started with his standing order - the lobster stuffed portobello mushrooms, fried eggs on toast. I snuck a nibble of the mushies and was suitably impressed with how the delicate flavours of the lobster combine with the juicy mushrooms.
Feeling I should go the healthy route, I ordered the poke bowl with grilled salmon. It came on a bed of bright colourful veggies which made me feel very virtuous. This then justified me eating half of Kiddo’s fried chicken.
The said fried chicken was coated with rice bubbles which made the chicken breast strips super crunchy and delightful.
Skinny cappuccino
Hot chocolate
Pu-erh tea
For drinks we did the usual skinny cap and hot chocolate. I was surprised to see pu’erh tea on the menu so I ordered myself a pot of that.
Vertical garden
Verdict
Overall
Golden Child cafe has a delightful ambience. The indoor plants and vertical garden outside are a bonus. The staff are friendly and the grub is a cut higher than the usual cafe breakfast fare.Find it at
