Its chickens are far superior to the roast chooks of the supermarkets. The charcoal flavours permeate through the moist meat.
The chooks are stuffed but not overly so, with just enough stuffing to provide a herbaceous scent.
The salads, whilst not imaginative, are fresh. They have a selection of the usual suspects: tabouleh, coleslaw, pasta, Greek salad, etc. The chips are a bit of a let down compared to the chicken and salads. They're a bit stale in texture and could have done with more seasoning.
But all in all, for $27 give or take a few cents, we bagged a large chook, two salads and small chips.
Check out King Chooks in Blackburn. Chips and chicken to die for. Apparently scalloped potatoes are awesome also.
