Jedi mind trick

Would you consider yourself to be strong of mind?

Well, according to this article in the Age, we are the unwitting subject of subconscious manipulation where many restaurants use suggestion, psychology, and principles of design to push expensive dishes, high profit dishes. Check it out.

Is ignorance or enlightenment bliss?

Too late.

You've just swallowed the red pill.

P.S. Sorry, that's two sci-fi pop culture references in less than 100 words. What can I say, they call me Chewbacca for a reason.

  1. If you're like me, you would have studied the menu before making a booking. As part of the study, I'd have compiled of short-listed dishes, which I'll then compare any specials/dish of the day against it.

Menu selection is not a hasty decision to be had, and should never be when one is hungry.

We love to hear comments from other people interested in food ... if you've been to the same restaurant let us know what you had or what you think.
